TikTok added auto-captions in 2021, but they are opt-in per upload rather than automatic. Most videos expose no caption file at all, so a tool that only looks for one comes back empty on the majority of links. That is not a bug, there is genuinely nothing there.
A second TikTok-specific trap: an enormous share of captions on the platform are burned into the frames, typed in the TikTok editor or in CapCut. Those words are pixels. They are perfectly readable to a human and completely invisible to any parser, which is why some videos look captioned and still transcribe to nothing.
