Run it
Starts the workflow when you click Execute.
TranscriptFetch
Get transcript
Get Video Transcript fetches the transcript of the link set in the node. Swap in any YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link, or a direct link to an audio or video file.

Keeps the title, the link, the source (captions or audio) and the transcript text.

Set it up
- Copy the workflow below and paste it onto an empty n8n canvas, or download the file and use Import from File.
- Add a TranscriptFetch API credential to the TranscriptFetch node.
- Swap the link for the video you want, then run it.
What it costs
- One transcript costs 1 credit from captions, or 1 credit per started 5 minutes of audio when the video has none. Failed requests are free.

Questions
Can I get timestamps?
Yes. Turn on Timestamps in the node's options to get the transcript as segments with start times instead of plain text.
Does it work on videos without captions?
Yes. With Mode on Auto, the default, a video without captions is transcribed from its audio. Set Mode to Captions Only to never pay for audio.
