Frequently asked questions
When do I get a job to poll?
When a request escalates to AI Fallback Transcription and cannot be answered inline, it returns 202 with a job_id and a poll_url. Read this endpoint until status is completed or failed.
Can I avoid polling?
Yes. Pass callback_url on the original request to have the finished transcript POSTed to you, or re-send the original request once the job has had time to finish: the result is cached and returns at once, charged once.
Does polling cost credits?
No. Status reads are free; the transcript is billed once, when the job delivers it.
